That's what I think (in theory!): "In a way, Norton Ghost, which could create an image or file backup (I know nothing about this part) and put it on my hard-externo. Then replace the "old" disk drive of the laptop with the "new" una ". Then, somehow connect my USB external hard drive to the laptop with the new CD drive blank, and copy the image of something in return through. Please tell me if this is possible! All tips if please! PS – I do not want to spend more money IDE USB adapter!
The placing on the external drive is a great return to the idea anyway. With my Ghost, I made my bootable DVD image, then restored to my new hard drive. You should not have a lot of problems for do. You can restore its image as an external hard drive, another hard drive (internal) or DVD. There are other programs that copy data from entire hard disk, and in real time on the fly if you want to do. But not to format the disk until you have about their case and all is well.
