Access Levels in openSUSE 10.2?
I have an external hard drive 300 GB that I use with my laptop running openSUSE 10.2. The problem is that initially use the hard drive to transfer all my files when I cleaned the windows (Woo!) and install Linux. I can not access the HD read-only and I think can not change the access rights of any person (groups, users, developers). Its makes me crazy because I have a little OCD with my music collection labeled and I can not rename my files! Any help is much appreciated, happy
(I met him this … on the external drive is NTFS and Linux is not great on NTFS. It seems that tend to load the NTFS read-only discs, such as support to the R / W is a bit again. Fix for this? Copying files the hard drive of your laptop and reformat the hard drive to FAT32 (if you want to maintain compatibility with Windows) or EXT3 or any other format other drives SUZE native. Or explore the limits of Linux and NTFS for the drive R / W.
