I have a HD DVR box from Comcast, which has a port USB 2.0 on the front. Is this port to support an external hard drive or other device?

There is a 'Hack' or you hear a "crack" which can be used for the Comcast box, some use the USB port to use the front FireWire port on the back. Touch is that voids warranty issue with them. Now the problem is most hackers simply erase the hard drive and back. Now if you want to read about it go to the AVS Forum and look up there and I say difficult to follow a Hack (It's a bit of a pun that you know "a hard act to follow) the code is really long and really intended to a gearbox or a pirate. NOTE: I recommend doing this or if you do. I would try to do with Comcast's permission, however, does not allow it (like learn something new)
