Why have I lost a lot of room for having converted my NTFS drive to FAT32?
This http://forums.llamma.com/viewtopic.php?t=1039&highlight=swissknife Web site helped me turn my 1TB NTFS to FAT32. The reason why I did it because I just bought a DVD player with USB port and I want watch movies through it. My external hard drive was formatted in NTFS, but could not be read by my DVD player. "I can not convert to FAT32 and it worked perfectly, unfortunately, lost half the space! I went from a 500GB to 1TB What can I do to get more space? Thank you! Below me, Dave answered my question perfectly but if FAT32 supports most of my space, NTFS is a way to work with my DVD player?
Use a program like disk Acorns director. Operating systems can limit the maximum size format, for example, XP can format up to 32 GB. The Maximum volume size for FAT32 is 8TB. The other problem is that the maximum file size in FAT32 is 4 GB. I propose the solution to the problem of NTFS for the illegible DVD. This seems a bit strange.
