It fell a few meters from my office and it is not recognized by my computer. The light is on but the hard drive can not spin. It just makes a loud noise, then stops after minutes. The only thing I can not find the drive is the device manager and says something like "The device can not start." I know it's probably broken and recoverability of the data is thin, but I just can not even see the list of files of the existence of some way? I do not think there was something so important that I spend a lot of money with a repair business, but if only I could see a list of files so I know what I have to replace at least. If someone has an idea I hear. Thank you in advance!
by the sound, I would say that the discs are damaged inside. I could pretend and try to engage hard drive of your computer but no illusions. If you do not know how to do it yourself (or a friend who can), you do not want to spend money and there was nothing important he said just cut your losses and move on to a friend.
