Time Capsule – What Relief?
New to Mac, which is a time capsule backup? All my options on how it works parallel (Such as saving configuration settings for Windows, Mac documents?) Can store more information on a time capsule and i use it as external hard drive (ie if I have a 500GB hard drive and get a capsule of 2TB, I can use it as an external hard drive 1.5TB). "I can not link to a computer with Windows (for example, to connect and have access to documents does not sync or anything). Thank you mate I can save large files USB?
Time Capsule works with Mac OS X Leopard and more, and at first there will be a copy of all equipment, including in parallel. Mac OS X, and then track all changes made since the initial backup has been done, and save the changes as well. This allows you to restore your computer to an earlier time, or simply to restore some deleted. As for your other questions, you can use it as a hard disk external and can be connected to several computers on your network and act as a backup as long as computers are running OS X. However, I am not sure if a Windows computer can access files. I know that I can function as a wireless router, and both Mac and PC-Link on the web. Edit: After further checking, it appears that Time Capsule works with Windows, specifically: PC with Windows XP (SP3) or Windows Vista (SP1), CD, Ethernet or wireless seems not be a USB port on the back of it, however, seems to be to connect a printer or a second external hard drive, not to transfer files from your computer via USB. But time may be connected an Ethernet cable or wireless use, I do not think you will get no advantage over USB why. I always found Ethernet to be at least as fast.
