Time Capsule – What Relief?

New to Mac, which is a time capsule backup? All my options on how it works parallel (Such as saving configuration settings for Windows, Mac documents?) Can store more information on a time capsule and i use it as external hard drive (ie if I have a 500GB hard drive and get a capsule of 2TB, I can use it as an external hard drive 1.5TB). Time Capsule works with Mac OS X Leopard and more, and at first there will be a copy of all equipment, including in parallel.
