Unintentional marking an external hard drive as the active partition?

In computer management, under disk management " Windows XP SP2, I mean the change drive letters, and accidentally clicked on "mark as active partition. The partition marked as active is a disc I extrernal hard. I'm afraid to reboot my PC does not start as an active partition has no filesystem. From now on, my visits PC and works as usual. I have no intention of stopping until you find a way to undo this mess. How do I cancel brand external hard drive as an active partition? My boot and work normally if I remove the check? The unit contains filesystem is marked as C: Windows boot normally. There will always be the case if the C: drive is not marked as "active partition" of more? Open a command prompt as administrator. Once opened type "diskpart" (without the quotes well course). These are the commands you need. DISKPART> A list of disks in the system that displays a list of all the disks that you use in your machine ordered by disk number, find one that lives up to its exterior. > Select disk DISKPART (whatever number), select the partition DISKPART> Assuming you have only one partition its exterior. This number can vary depending on how the different partitions you have and what the number of partition is. DISKPART> now inactive, the program must say that the partition you selected is now inactive. You may want to open disk management just to check. DISKPART> exit And now should be done!
