He has a hard drive standed in the case. Unless your a small external drive then you'll have one for a computer Portable. In the back of the inner box is a circut board with an IDE or SATA connection eaether and 4-pin power connector or SATA. Could actually remove and replace the internal hard drive as standard, but can void the warranty I have. The same applies to the outside of DVD players. I did it with a DVD player that I disarmed cheap installed in the Bay works like a charm.
