Is there any way to install xp onto an external hard drive and boot from there.?

No internal drive on this computer. Already have Linux installed but need to have xp instead. I’m in a real pinch.

Not sure if that’s possible- USB support may require software/drivers, but you can try. Go into the BIOS and change the boot order. External USB would be the 2nd boot device (CD first).

Then try to run the XP installation.
