How do I restore my computer to factory settings?
I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop with Windows Vista Basic (delivered with the computer) and Windows 7 Ultimate. How do I reset the factory settings? I just got rid of the virus "geurge.exe" and in a bad state of my team. I tried pressing F11 at startup to open the system restore, but that was my screen win7 login instead! I may have complicated recovery (D) unit, because I changed the drive letter "R" then back to "D" using the original score editing wizard. I have my computer back in my external hard drive, done one month earlier than I have the virus.
Do not take this wrong, but from what I've read so far is not very Savy PC? To restore your PC to the factory OEM Compaq Presario is to use the OEM installation disk that accompanies it. If you do not come with a Generally, you can go to your HP support site, pilots and downloads and type your model in the downloads section which can be able to control a OEM disk. Most PCs with a box score Separate OEM on this drive. I've never owned a Compaq, so I do not know, but you can find browsing the workstation or computer, and if D: is the DVD player is mentioned partition. Apart from that, you can clean yourself best you can. About who is my friend. I recommend all my clients that there are two software programs do not operate a PC or laptop without and Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director Suite. Get your PC as you want to run True Image and an image backup on DVD. Something goes wrong with that, place the disc in the tray and reboot. 5 to 10 minutes later, you have a new PC, just the way it was before it was bad or is it bad virus! Good computing.
