I bought a 1TB WD My Book external hard drive. Should I format it to NFTS or leave it FAT32?
I’m not even certain its Fat32. Most reviews say so. Whats the benefits of formatting to NTFS?
The main difference between NTFS and FAT32 is the maximum file size they permit. FAT32 enforces a size maximum of 32 gigabytes for one individual file. NTFS, on the other hand, does not.
The downside to using NTFS is that NTFS is unreadable on non-Windows Operating Systems, i.e. Macs.
